Questions?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact me.

  • I provide telehealth to all California residents.

I provide in person intensives in the Santa Cruz, Ca area and Los Gatos, Ca.

  • You will be provided an e-mail link to a secure telehealth platform via Simple Practice. Sessions are via video.

  • Brainspotting Intensives are in person in the Santa Cruz, California area and downtown Los Gatos, California.

My weekly/biweekly sessions will remain telehealth.

  • $225 per 50 minute session.

Intensive therapy is $450 for a 90-minute pre-intensive consultation and $450 for each 90-minute Brainspotting session. The total cost for a four and a half hour intensive is $1350.

  • I do work with men and older teens. Book a consultation to see if we’d be a good fit.

  • Our intake appointment includes a review of your history, your primary concerns, and what you’d like from therapy. Prior to our first appointment, you will complete an intake form and fill out some questionnaires to help guide the goals of treatment and to help get you where you want to be. We will review informed consent, including your rights to confidentiality, and I will answer any initial questions you may have.

  • Initially, I see clients once per week. Depending on your needs, we will likely continue sessions for a minimum of three months. Most clients need ongoing therapy between six to twelve months, and sometimes longer depending on your specific needs. Therapy looks different for each client.

  • I am considered an out of network provider.

Prior to our first appointment, you will be required to have a credit card on file. You can also pay via FSA (flexible spending account), or HSA (health savings account).

I am using a free service called Thrizer for clients with PPO insurance plans. Thrizer submits the claim to your insurance company, and you are reimbursed via check or direct deposit depending on the reimbursement allowed by your plan. Please note, the reimbursement is provided to the plan subscriber. HMO plans do NOT allow for out of network reimbursement.

Please know that not all insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers and some plans may have a deductible or an allowable amount. I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your card and speak to a representative for details about your specific plan.

  • Sessions are Monday through Thursday between 11am and 6pm. My evening sessions are currently full.
